Laura can see how hard he is trying and really, she thinks she has an idea of what he's trying to explain, but he's clearly passionate about making sure exactly what he's brought her there to be a part of it somehow. Her face softens.

"Did you make one? Is it of an animal, too?" she asks, honestly and genuinely interested because this is part of him.
