That's what she likes so much about him; what took her too long to figure out and when she did it was too late. It was the fact he wasn't perfect or predictable and that he is broken and busted up on the inside just like her. But he couldn't see that and now she was desperately trying to hold onto something she felt destined to lose.

She stares ahead, eyes starting to line with emotion and when she finally has the courage to look back at him, he tells her -- acknowledges the one thing that had been a constant question mark over her head since it happened. Laura's brow ripples and a tear drops down into her lap. She nods, feeling something inside her chest release.

"Yeah, you did, And I lost you in the process."

Her own unspoken words tell him she's not sure she can go through that again.
