How does a girl not take that as a compliment? More, how does a girl not react to that compliment without breaking into a bit of a blush? Laura seems to be able to hide it behind the plume of cigarette smoke she's just exhaled,
"How about we just say that will probably be whenever you're around," Laura glances his way and shifts a little closer to press her naked body against his side. "Or I can set up a schedule of all the people I'd like to punch on this fucking piece of shit vessel and we can just meet here."
"Mmm." He purrs in consideration while squirming just enough to playfully mirror her, both of them settling into sweaty contentment and a haze of tobacco.
"Don't tempt a Fellow," he pokes, closing his eyes. Sweeney takes a slow breath savoring the moment before his thoughts work backwards along the path to the inciting incident.
"Wonder if Steve'll give ya a hard time 'bout it." His eyes open and stare at the ceiling. "Can't imagine he would. Given how Malcolm walked outta the thing."
Her smile says she absolutely plans to tempt him. Any chance she can get.
Watching him, she takes another drag and shrugs one shoulder up. "I guess I'll find out. I can see him asking why I did it, but with Malcolm already having a few incidences of people attacking him on the Barge and in his own world, it probably won't come as a surprise.
"Hm?" It takes him a second to catch up. "Punch Malcolm?" Sweeney's answered his own question, and as such, he doesn't delay in answering hers.
"Nah." He makes a shrug of a shoulder that crinkles the sheets a bit more.
"Told her I did it. Told her why. Told her the matter was settled." Sweeney steals a small drag, holding it while he recalls the thing.
"Know she talked ta him. He wasn't lookin' ta press charges or whate'er." Nestling the cigarette between his lips, he rolls his wrist and flips out a plastic ashtray to rest on his abdomen for both of them to use. Sweeney promptly does so.
"Honestly, think she gets more pissed that I don't wanna fight 'bout folk bein' cunts ta me first. Normally, don't bother tellin' her if I get in a fight unless a Warden's on the other end of the thing." He peeks at her.
"Not like there's a fuckin' point if no one dies."

Did Maggie give you a hard time when you did it?"
