Will grins at Laura's 'struggle' but is quick to help her escape from Jet when the time comes to get up. He thinks he'll take them back up to the deck- they had been walking up and down the hallways for every level, with breaks in common rooms to throw toys. But the deck is more open, and nicer to walk through besides.
Her statement has him smiling- but sighing- as they get on their way. "Yeah, it wasn't exactly kind to any of it. There was a lot in there that I really would've rather came out on its own. Or not at all. But- I think I put out any fires I had to." It could've been worse, he thinks.
Laura falls into stride beside Will and nods in agreement while she watched the dog in front of them with a soft smile.
"Right? Real life gets fucking messy and I tried to reason that no one's life is perfect," she opines, shrugging her shoulder. Hers isn't anywhere near being neat and tidy -- totally the opposite, as a matter of fact. "Last thing any of us needs is for someone else, and people we don't know very well, to see that."
All six of them.
Luckily, while she doesn't want to say that her memories ended up in the heads of people she hated, they still weren't people she knew very well. Even being on the barge for four months.
