[ she shows up about ten or so minutes later with a chocolate ice cream waffle cone with brownie bits for him, and a cherry popsicle for her.
laura knocks lightly, but loud enough to announce her arrival. she'd left Moose in her cabin, knowing full well he'd jump on her bed and take a nice long nap. ]
[He takes it from her and immediately has to lick the melting chocolate from his fingers.]
Goddamn. If I didn't want this so bad, I'd kick your perfect ass over it.
[But there's something very indulgent about it and it helps his throat so much. His voice is deep and gravely still, recovering from that specific injury, and he is exceptionally grateful.]
[His room is from a higher end hotel, though of course the kitchenette has been removed. There's a desk with a chair, a couch, and his bed, which Jacob sits on the edge of. Mae's crate sits in the corner, though she's not inside of it at the moment.]
Put his claws through my throat. Didn't even bite me or anything.
And you - what the hell? You like dying and death tolling that much that you decided to pick a fight with something that had claws? There's people on this stupid ship that sometimes land in coma's after dying and then vanish after that for good.
[ judging by her face that is something she doesn't find very funny. ]
I didn't really want to fucking die in that moment but I knew it would happen. I underestimated him. Astarion told me to look for guys with red eyes like him, but that they were stupid.
I didn't know this guy was the big bad master of it all until it was too late.
[ laura isn't so sure she likes how nonchalant he is about the whole thing, but acceptance was a thing that tends to happen when you know what an inevitable outcome is going to be.
still.
she takes another bite of her popsicle and lets it melt in her mouth before saying: ]
You know, I've died six times over my 28 years of living and not once have I never anticipated it beforehand. It just happened. But being dead and still alive, not a nice feeling.
[ since time wasn't really a thing there and she all but failed to age once she died the first time, by doing the math, she's definitely over 30 now. ]
I guess I could try a little harder at making you feel younger.
[ her eyes have a certain suggestive glint to them ]
laura sees a waste bin and gets up, dropping her wrapper and stick into it and walks over to stand in front of him, looking to see what he's got left of his ice cream. ]
Or I can just fuck you now. [ adds boldly ] Maybe that'll make you feel better.

Re: late sunday
I said chocolate, not a damn massacre.
[But he manages a tired smile, gesturing her inside.]
Re: late sunday
Fuck you. It was this or chocolate mint with salted fish flakes.
[ she wanders in after him, admiring his ass even in something loose fitting and when he turns she holds out the ice cream. ]

Re: late sunday
It's not even that melty, god. She pulls back the wrapper on her popsicle and looks around for somewhere to sit. ]
So, how did the fucker kill you?
Re: late sunday
Put his claws through my throat. Didn't even bite me or anything.
Re: late sunday
I wish I didn't know exactly how that felt.
[ the glass probably felt the same as claws, too. ]
It's bullshit that this shit keeps happening.
Re: late sunday
Eh, I knew he'd do it. I told him to fuck off and then spit on his shoes.

[He shrugs.]
He was going to kill me anyway.

Re: late sunday
Shit, you're 28? You make me feel fucking old.
[He does grin, though, not liking to dwell.]

Re: late sunday
I'm sure you can, sunshine. And just when I'm starting to feel better. [He doesn't. He feels like shit. But the worst is mostly over, at least.]
Re: late sunday
Really? Cause you look like death warmed over. I'll seduce you later when I know I can get a little something out of you, too.
Re: late sunday
Don't make me wait too long.
